Hi Chris

Lots have happened since I attended your four week course in 2008, I have mainly been involved in location catering within film catering and Motorsport hospitality.

After doing this freelance for the last 5 years I am now looking at getting my own equipment, so I have the ability to turn up to at an event, wherever it be, with a simple set up such as a small awning/marquee and oven, fridge, sink etc and be able to provide catering for people on events.

I have gained lots of experience turning up in the middle if a field, building a kitchen in a tent and catering for hundreds of people! I really enjoy it and want to use this experience to build my business.

If anyone contacts you with requirements that you think I may be able to meet then it would be great to be able to discuss it with them, or maybe you already have an idea of people to contact then that would be great.

I also have a small catering trailer called the chocolate box, we attend shows and events and sell all things chocolatey such as hot chocolate, milkshakes, chocolate brownie sundaes and chocolate sticky toffee pudding. (www.thechoccybox.co.uk)
The website is very simple and needs work but shows what we do, thought it would be good to show you what one of your students has gone on to do!

I really appreciate all the skills I learnt and confidence I gained on the course, if anyone asks me the best way to get into a career in cooking I always suggest your course and then to get out there and get stuck into a job in a kitchen, I think it's the best way!
