Course Format:

Courses run from 10.00 am - 4.00 pm commencing with morning coffee and home made biscuits. This will be followed by a run through of the menu plan for the day and tuition for the selected dishes. Participants will then prepare and cook their dishes sampling as they go. Finally a sit down meal will be served with wine in the afternoon.

 

Fee:

             £135.00 per head including all instruction, recipe booklet, food and wine with meal.

* In addition to the dedicated week above, you can also elect to book

Fee:

             Fee includes tuition, course book with recipes, shared accommodation in a twin room (1) from Monday night to Thursday night, breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a £75 per week reduction for non-residential students. If you book on with a friend each of you will enjoy a 5% reduction in your course fee.

            (1) Students who prefer not to share a room may do so subject to availability and payment of a single room supplement of £75 per week.

Payment:

             A £150 deposit is payable on enrolment. The balance of the course fee is due six weeks before the course commences.

Fees include shared accommodation (on a first come first served basis (1)) in a twin room (2) from Monday night to Thursday night each week (3), breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a £330 per month reduction for non-residential students.

The first Monday of the Four Week Course starts at 11.00am. Subsequent Mondays start at 10.00am. Each Friday the course finishes at 1.00pm.

Students enrolled on the four week course will also undertake the Royal Institute of Public Health Food Hygiene Certificate, the cost of which is included in the course fee.

Our four week courses are designed to turn out high quality competent cooks. By the fourth week, students will be preparing food to the standard you would expect to find in a good restaurant.

Yacht / Ski Chalet cookery
The four week course is ideal for yacht and ski chalet cookery. We have excellent ongoing links with ski chalet and yacht recruitment agencies.

 

(1) We endeavour to accommodate the majority of our students on site on a first come first served basis. The remaining students will be provided with details of other local accommodation which they will be responsible for organising themselves. In these circumstances the course fee will be reduced by £330.

(2) Students who prefer not to share a twin room may do so subject to availability and payment of a single room supplement of £75 per week.

(3) Students who wish to stay on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night may do so at a cost of £30 per night (self-catered continental breakfast included). The kitchen will not be open on weekends.

 

A £500 deposit is payable on enrolment on any of the above courses. The balance of the course fee is due six weeks before the course commences.
