Indian Cookery One Day Course

One of our most popular courses, our Indian cookery course will instruct lovers of authentic Indian food how to prepare and cook a colourful, varied and tasty range of aromatic and spicy dishes. You will delight in the smells and tastes that are unique to Indian cookery. The aromas produced while cooking the Indian spices and herbs for your sauces will make your mouth water in anticipation of your meal.

Just wanted to knock you a note to say how much I enjoyed the course on Saturday.
I learnt so much and I thought that Catherine was a brilliant tutor - Stephen W

Our course is designed to really help you understand how to produce the flavours that can be so elusive to get right. You will be able to reproduce the techniques learnt so that you can share new and exciting dishes with your family, such as:-

  • Meat Samosas and Onion Bhajis
  • Beef Madras, Chicken Korma, Mixed Vegetable Curry
  • Braised or Pilaff Rice and Naan Bread
  • Aloo Tikka, Goan Fish Curry
  • Iced Lime Refresher
  • and much, much more

Each region of India has left its influence on Indian Cookery and you will be able to learn the secrets that make each dish unique. You will find the course suitable if you have a basic to intermediate level of cooking skills.

Just a quick email to say how much Pete and I enjoyed our Indian cookery day on 28th Feb.
We’ve even cooked a couple of the dishes since at home, which were delicious! - Michelle and Pete L

What once seemed like an unobtainable art form that was far out of reach from the simple cook that I am,
is now fully in my grasp and has transformed the way we cook - Guy and Lisa

Thank you for a really lovely day yesterday. Something I will remember for a long time
and will certainly be recommending to my friends. Thanks again. - Jane

Indian Cookery Course - An outline of the day

The Indian cookery course day starts at 10:00 am with morning coffee and biscuits. This will give you the opportunity to meet up with your fellow participants. You will then be taken to our purpose built, fully equipped kitchen where there is plenty of working space for each student. There will be a run through of the course menu plan for the day and tuition for the selected dishes. You will then prepare and cook your dishes sampling as you go. Finally a sit down meal will be served with wine in the afternoon. We aim to finish the course at 4:00 pm.

We hope we have tempted you to join our Indian Cookery Course and look forward to welcoming you to our school situated in the beautiful countryside of South Gloucestershire.
